Summer Camp at Yuvajyothi

A summer camp was organized at Yuvajyothi from 23rd April 2026 to 4th May 2026, with the aim of providing children a productive and enjoyable learning experience during their vacation.
The camp began with an inauguration program, followed by the division of children into different teams to encourage teamwork, leadership, and active participation. Miss Rayna was present on 23rd and 24th April, where she interacted with the children and contributed to the camp activities.
A number of educational and awareness sessions were conducted throughout the camp. Fr. Paul led a session on discipline and cleanliness, emphasizing good habits and personal responsibility. A session on child rights and safety was conducted by Mr. Gaikwad Sir, helping children understand their rights and protection. Dr. Giri Ma’am conducted an informative session on addiction awareness, while Fr. Ephrem also led an engaging and meaningful session. In addition, daily meditation sessions were organized to promote focus and mental well-being.
The camp featured a variety of creative and learning activities, including story-making competitions, action songs, dance and skit practice, craft work, singing competitions (both group and solo), General Knowledge sessions, and poster-making on cleanliness.
On the evening of 25th April, the children of Yuvajyothi visited the VNIT campus to participate in the World Orphans Day celebration, where they stayed overnight and returned on the morning of 26th April. This experience provided them with exposure, interaction, and a joyful learning environment outside their regular setting.
To ensure fun and physical engagement, several games and sports activities were organized, such as stone-paper-scissors group game, tug of war, bomb in the city, blow the wheat flour game, tik-tak-tok, carrom and chess competitions, and a cricket competition.
On the last day of the camp, all the children and staff went to watch the movie “Bhoot Bangla”, which added a joyful and memorable conclusion to the entire camp experience.
Overall, the summer camp was a great success, offering children opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence, develop teamwork, and enjoy a meaningful and joyful experience.
