A Rakshabandhan Celebration was organized at Yuvajyothi on 29th August 2026, with the support of SKDV Mission, The programme was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm, highlighting the beautiful bond of love, care, and affection between brothers and sisters.
The sisters of the Yuvajyothi boys participated in the celebration and lovingly tied Rakhi to their brothers. The Yuvajyothi staff members, whom the children lovingly call “Didi,” also tied Rakhi to the children, making the occasion more special and meaningful.
Fr. Paul Pereira explained the significance and importance of Rakshabandhan and encouraged the children to value their family relationships. Adv. Fr. Praveen Monteiro, Director, ICID, guided the children on the importance of the sacred bond between brothers and sisters and the values of love, respect, care, and responsibility in relationships.
The sisters performed Aarti for their brothers, followed by the distribution of sweets among the children and participants. The celebration created an atmosphere of happiness, togetherness, and affection.
Overall, the Rakshabandhan programme was successfully celebrated with love, joy, and the spirit of sibling bonding, leaving the children with beautiful and memorable moments.
