On 11th October 2025, International Girl Child Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Nirmal Jyoti Centre, Vishwas Nagar, Gittikhadan, Nagpur. The event aimed to spread awareness about the rights, safety, and empowerment of girls. The celebration was graced by PSI Supriya Pundge as the chief guest, along with social worker Rupali Singh, Sr. Leena, and Ms. Sharda Bhalavi as special guests.
The program began with the traditional welcome of the guests, followed by an interactive and informative guidance session. The resource person spoke on important issues such as children’s safety, prevention of human trafficking, how to seek police assistance in times of need, use of helpline numbers, and practical steps for self-protection. The talk helped the children and adolescent girls understand how to protect themselves and become more aware and confident in difficult situations.
To mark the importance of the day, adolescent girls were honored with sashes symbolizing International Girl Child Day, recognizing their strength, courage, and value in society. The celebration also included fun games and competitions, and the winners were awarded prizes for their participation and performance. The atmosphere was filled with joy, learning, and inspiration. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the guests, participants, and organizers for making the event meaningful and memorable.
