Pola the traditional festival of Maharashtra was celebrated at Yuvajyothi. Children enacted a Skit to highlight the Importance of the day. The main attraction of Pola is the Oxen often called the friend of the farmer. The farmer makes use the oxes for the entire year for his agriculture purpose and on this day the bulls are decorated and given special treatment. The prayers were offered to the bulls.
The importance of the day was explained by Mrs. Vaishnavi. The students took an active part in the celebration.
