The Pola Festival is a traditional celebration honouring the vital role of bulls in farming. The event aimed to educate children about the festival and the importance of these animals.
The celebration began with a prayer song. Information about the Pola Festival was shared, including customs like bathing bulls with turmeric and decorating them. Adv.Fr Praveen Montheiro spoke about the festival’s importance, and Fr. Ephraim Kulu explained how bulls help farmers. The children enjoyed Puranpoli, a traditional sweet dish. The event successfully taught children about the Pola Festival and the importance of bulls. It was both educational and enjoyable, with the children appreciating the special treat.
